The company has committed 1 million RLC tokens to a new ecosystem fund, designed to accelerate the development of applications that reimagine how AI and real-world systems operate on the blockchain.

The fund arrives at a pivotal moment as interest in DePIN — decentralized physical infrastructure networks — gains traction as a way to replace centralized control with peer-powered systems.

These networks rely on distributed users to supply hardware and services, forming the backbone of everything from decentralized wireless to compute marketplaces. The new iExec initiative is geared toward creators building these kinds of systems, particularly those with a strong emphasis on secure data handling and scalable AI models.

Unlike typical grants, the fund will provide a mix of investment types, helping projects grow from proof-of-concept to production-ready platforms. iExec is also opening access to its in-house development suite, designed to make privacy-first dApp creation easier for teams navigating the complexities of web3 architecture.

Beyond funding, builders will tap into a support network that includes engineering guidance, ecosystem partnerships, and access to broader alliances focused on decentralized AI. One such group, the AI Unbundled Alliance, is working to carve out alternatives to centralized AI control by distributing data, processing power, and model access.

While many web3 projects have struggled to bridge the gap between vision and usability, iExec says it wants to focus on ideas that bring tangible utility to the space — whether through tokenized physical assets, secure data computation, or new forms of digital coordination.

With this new fund, iExec is staking its position not only as a provider of blockchain infrastructure but as a key player in cultivating the next generation of privacy-driven digital systems.
