CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) -A chaotic arrest was carried out by immigration officers Thursday outside the Mecklenburg County Courthouse. On Thursday, May 15, officers with the Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency, or ICE, chased a man across the lawn of the courthouse, across 3rd Street, and into a duck pond in nearby Marshall Park. WBTV recorded what happened next. The video shows multiple officers surrounding the man as he stands waist-deep in the water.
