A clearer image of Avengers: Doomsday merch surfaces online
Renowned SFX and makeup artist Gi Ponci recently posted a picture of an official Avengers: Doomsday merch that featured as many as 28 confirmed characters from the film.
The image not only served as a reminder of the official cast of Avengers 5, but also provided fans with their first look at the likely final designs of the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and more. (via Culture Base)
While the photo showcased the costume designs of multiple Marvel superheroes, the updated look of prominent X-Men members, such as Ian McKellen’s Magneto and Patrick Stewart’s Professor X, seems to have hogged all the limelight. As per the Doomsday merch, Magneto will be seen donning his iconic red robes from the comics in the movie.
Notably, the live-action iterations of Erik Lehnsherr so far have mostly seen him donning dark-colored costumes of the black and brown shades. X-Men: First Class briefly featured Michael Fassbender’s Magneto wearing his comic-accurate suit before later films decided to abandon the costume once again.
In addition to Magneto, the Avengers: Doomsday merch also focused on Professor X’s updated look, who seems to have ditched his yellow floating wheelchair from Multiverse of Madness in favor of a more subtle outfit. Furthermore, Channing Tatum’s Gambit was visible in the artwork, wearing a similar suit to what he wore in Deadpool & Wolverine.
Meanwhile, James Marsden’s Cyclops and Alan Cumming’s Nightcrawler also made an appearance in their comic-accurate suits, with Kelsey Grammer’s very blue-looking Beast and Rebecca Romijn’s white-suited Mystique rounding up the X-Men segment on the bag.
While the said Avengers: Doomsday merch may have given a clearer view of all the character outfits, it remains unclear if all heroes and villains will carry a similar look in the final cut of the film.
