Despite the series' popularity and consistent quality, Superman & Lois was canceled after season 4, leaving multiple storylines and characters in the writer's room. Superman & Lois season 4's ending also had to wrap up multiple plotlines sooner than expected and provide each character with an appropriate ending by the end of season 4.
