ONE of the new Married At First Sight UK brides has revealed she found out she was pregnant at 37 weeks when she was just 16.

Last night MAFS UK viewers saw Holly tie the knot with Alex – but she also opened up ahead of the ceremony.

The single mum-of-two said: “I was 16 when I found out I was pregnant, I was actually 37 weeks pregnant when I found out so I had three weeks left. I never thought that would happen to me and it did.”

Holly also revealed the father of her children cruelly dumped her because he was no longer attracted to her.

She continued: “Me and the childrens’ father, we got together when I was 14, we had Declan when I was 16 then we had Daisy when I was just turning 20.

“I did believe at one point I was going to spend the rest of my life with him but he didn’t find me attractive anymore. He found a new relationship and that really hurt.”

Holly’s dad also revealed his emotional reaction to her becoming a mum at 16.

He said: “It was the biggest shock of my life. It felt like your childhood had been robbed. But then the second he was born just changed my life. My little hero.”

In last night’s episode Alex had a savage reaction to finding out Holly has two kids.

When quizzed by Holly’s best pal Jack at the reception, he said: “I’ll keep it real with you, bro.

“When I first came into this, because I don’t have kids of my own, I don’t have them fatherly instincts, because I haven’t had to have them fatherly instincts. So it was a preference if they didn’t have kids.”

After seeing Jack’s unimpressed face, Alex then attempted to backtrack somewhat, adding: “But you know what it is for me, when I fall head over heels for someone, I overlook all of that s*** for that person.”

Reeling from Alex’s admission, Jack later told Holly what he had said – causing the new bride to break down in tears

“My kids are my life,” she said. “So if he is not someone who is going to want children or be around children, that is going to be a big problem for me.”

Mafs couples that have stood the test of time

Loved-up Tayah Victoria and Adam Aveling of series six fame had the first Mafs baby.

The pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other on the programme and quickly found their feet in the outside world, moving into Adam’s Doncaster home.

Just 18 months after meeting, the couple welcomed their daughter Beau.

Season five couple Michelle Walder and Owen Jenkins also managed to make their marriage work away from the cameras and had their first child in December.

Teacher Michelle, 29, has no regrets about taking part in the experiment. She told us: “I just feel very lucky and thankful that it has worked out – and excited for everything to come.”

Michelle and Owen were both sick of dating apps when they applied in 2019.

Owen recalled: “I had been out for some drinks with a friend after work.

“While he was out for a cigarette I was scrolling on Instagram waiting for him to come back in.

“The MAFS advert was the last thing I saw, and I joked, ‘Wouldn’t it be funny if I signed up?’

“A few beers later when I was back at home I sent in the application, and the rest is history.”

Another couple to make Mafs UK history is Zoe Clifton and Jenna Robinson.

Despite a slight rocky start, where they clashed over Jenna’s vegan lifestyle, the show’s first same sex pairing are still going strong.

They even have a successful podcast together called Life With a Pod.

Jenna shed light on being involved in the show earlier this year when she told us: “We’re not legally married, and I never felt like we were. I definitely feel the process makes you take the relationship a lot more seriously and having the help of the experts… if you can survive that process it sets a firm foundation for a long-lasting relationship.”
