The eighth season of Game of Thronesgarnered a huge negative reception and some heavy criticism, which is, to this day, commonly talked about in online discussions and forums. A lot of viewers complain about various aspects of the ending, stating that it reached the point of no return and couldn't recover, and for what it's worth, I get it. I will certainly agree that the eighth season most definitely did not live up to the quality of the rest of the show. But in my book, even a bad season of Game of Thrones is still better than a lot of the disappointment found on TV nowadays.
