The early days of the Buffy the Vampire Slayer continuation series are certainly picking up speed. What started as an announcement just a few months ago has now snowballed into a growing production, with the exciting news announced this past week that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew star, Ryan Kiera Armstrong, was cast as the next chosen one. For those who have been following along, you’ll know that Sarah Michelle Gellar will indeed reprise her role as Buffy Summers, but will do so in a mentor capacity, taking Armstrong’s character under her wing in what sounds like a Watcher sort of way.
