Hunt for wanted man with 666 and a large cross tattooed on his face

A wanted man with 666 tattooed on his face flashes a hand signal in a picture taken before he went on the run from police.  

Danny Avis, 33, has also been shown with a black eye in an image circulated by officers who want him for recall to prison.  

Avis is known to move around his home city of Coventry and also has links to Birmingham and Nuneaton, according to police.

His distinctive facial image includes a cross on his right cheek, the numbers 666 on the other and ‘blessed’ inked on his forehead.  

The wanted man is also shown with bruising around his right eye in the picture distributed by West Midlands Police.

He is shown separately in an image on his Facebook profile, where he displays further tattoos as he flashes a gang-style hand signal.  

The inkings include lettering and spots on his knuckles.

Anyone who sees Avis is asked by police to call 999 immediately, quoting warrant number 20/17995/25.
