Released for the first time back in 2004, Howl's Moving Castleis yet another Studio Ghibli hit, and as a Welsh person myself, I cannot help but point out that its inspiration came from the 1986 novel of the same name by Diana Wynne Jones. Telling the story of Sophie, a young milliner who lives in a fictional kingdom home to both magic and 20th-century technology, she soon finds herself turning into an old woman after a customer curses her. Luckily, she encounters a young wizard known as Howl, but things soon get even more complicated when Sophie learns that the man refuses to fight for the king in the ongoing war.
