Thomas’s return gives Taylor someone by her side during her latest heartbreak caused by Ridge. For years, she has fought for her love alone, but now that Thomas is by her side, she feels hopeful and stronger than ever.

Taylor tells Thomas about how Ridge saved Brooke in Italy from drowning, which resurfaced his feelings for Brooke. This has left Taylor in a hurtful state in this love triangle. Despite promising Taylor that his feelings are long gone, Ridge is once again on the verge between the two women. Listening to this, Thomas empathizes with his mother, recognizing how much pain she is in. Now that he is back, things might finally be in favor of Taylor.

Thomas happens to overhear the two talking. He doesn’t hear everything, but from what he hears, he understands that there is something between the two. He wastes no time in confronting Ridge about the conversation.

The conversation grows intense as Thomas has had enough of Ridge’s indecision. He is also questioning Brooke’s motives in all of this.
