If you're used to Skyrim, and your first experience with its predecessor is Oblivion Remastered, then you might find yourself a bit confused about how magic works in the game. Unlike Skyrim, where you can equip spells to one or both of your hands, Oblivion Remastered doesn't allow for dual wielding, and magic isn't treated like a weapon. Even though this is a new version of Oblivion, with some elements of Skyrim incorporated, it seems the developers wanted to keep the experience as close to the original as possible in most ways.
