There is much at stake in the third season of House of the Dragon, and the balance of power will swing once more. By the time Season 2 of the prequel series ended, the rightful ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, Queen Rhaenyra (Emma D’Arcy), was on the ascent and, after showing significant restraint throughout Season 2, demanded a “son for a son.” Shockingly enough, Queen Alicent (Olivia Cooke) agreed to the swap, ffering up Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) as a sacrifice to end the war and as an atonement for the death of Prince Lucerys Velaryon (Elliot Grihault). Since House of the Dragon is based on George R.R. Martin's novel, Fire & Blood, we have a rough idea of what to expect. However, one episode will be entirely different.
