After a roller-coaster third season — which managed to win back many fans after a divisive second — House of the Dragon's latest installment came to an explosive end this past Sunday with "The Treasons at Tumbleton," which debuted on August 9. Written by Ryan Condal and Ti Mikkel, and directed by Andrij Parekh, the episode delivered plenty of jaw-dropping twists, satisfying ends, and set-up for the fourth and final season: Alys Rivers' (Gayle Rankin) backstory got a big update, Ormund Hightower (James Norton) faced a gruesome end, and Helaena Targaryen (Phia Saban) tragically jumped to her death.
