“House of the Dragon” S3 Weeks Ahead Trailer

Following its third season premiere last night, HBO has released a ‘In the Weeks Ahead’ trailer for the third season of its “Game of Thrones” spin-off series “House of the Dragon”.

The premiere included a massive naval battle, the Battle of the Gullet, in which it seemed at least three not insignificant characters died, and the fate of at least one key face remains unknown.

The rest of the season is expected to deal with the fallout of that battle, which saw thousands of soldiers killed.

The new trailer teases Ormund Hightower (James Norton), a new antagonist this season, who dismisses Rhaenyra as someone “weak and unsuited to rule”.

The premiere also introduced Tommy Flanagan playing Roddy the Ruin, and the arrival of the Starks.

The “House of the Dragon” third season runs eight episodes and will air weekly through August 9th.
