Horrific update on identity of decomposing female found in singer D4vd’s Tesla

The body found in the trunk of singer D4vd’s car last week has been identified as a teenage girl. 

Last week, police in Los Angeles were called to an impound lot following reports of a ‘foul odour coming from a vehicle’, which had been moved there two days earlier after being found abandoned in the Hollywood Hills. 

After inspecting the car, police found human remains and quickly launched an investigation. 

The 20-year-old performer – real name David Anthony Burke –is said to be fully cooperating with authorities.  

Now, a week on, it’s been reported that forensic experts have determined the victim was a girl aged between 14 and 15. 

However, they have not yet released her name, as her next of kin are yet to have been located and contacted.

The girl has been described as having wavy black hair, 5 feet 2 inches tall, and weighing 71 pounds.  

She was found wearing a tube top, black leggings, a yellow metal bracelet, and metal stud earrings. She also had a tattoo on her right index finger that read: ‘Shhh…’. 

Sources from the Los Angeles Police Department had located the body, which was in a state of decomposition, inside a bag placed in the front trunk of the Tesla. 

ABC 7 News also reported that she appeared to have been dead ‘for some time’. 

The Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office has so far been unable to determine the cause of death.

D4vd has been continuing his Withered world tour since the shocking find a week ago. 

When the body was first discovered in his car, D4vd was preparing for a performance in Minneapolis.  

This week he’s due to perform in Seattle, Washington, San Francisco, and Los Angeles in California, before embarking on the European leg of his tour. 

Next month he will also perform two shows at the Roundhouse in London – on October 20 and 21. 

The singer first rose to fame in 2022 when his songs Here with Me and Romantic Homicide went viral on TikTok.

He released his debut album – Withered – in April and has over 33 million monthly listeners on Spotify. 

After the body was found in his car last week, D4vd was dropped by Crocs and Hollister just days after they’d announced him as the face of their ‘Dream Drop’ collaboration.  

‘We are aware of this developing story. With respect to the current situation, we have removed campaign content featuring D4vd while the investigation continues,’ the brands said in a joint statement. 

A police spokesperson previously said that he ‘has been informed about what’s happened, and although he is still out on tour, he is fully cooperating with the authorities.’
