Hollyoaks star Charlie Clapham has reportedly quit the Channel 4 soap just one year after his explosive come back.
The actor, 33, originally appeared as Freddie Roscoe between 2013 and 2017, becoming a regular face again prior to a game-changing time jump last year.
His storyline saw him reunite with prisoner ex Grace Black (Tamara Wall), before the womaniser moved onto relationships with Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) and Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe).
Freddie is currently plotting to bring Grace down, unaware that she has his brother Robbie (Charlie Wernham) chained up in a basement.
It has been said that Charlie’s exit has already been filmed, as the star looks to focus on other opportunities.
A source told The Sun: ‘Charlie has finished his stint filming.

‘He’s hugely popular and everyone’s really sad to see him go but the storyline is great and it was all planned out before his return.
‘There’s going to be a big send off for Freddie as the soap ramps up for a huge summer leading to the 30th later this year.’
Metro has reached out to Hollyoaks for comment.
The news comes just days after Nikki Sanderson bowed out of her Maxine Minniver role after twelve years.
Despite appearing to have been shot dead, Max’ made it out of the village alive and well with daughter Minnie (Eva Lorente).

The much-loved character faked her own death with the help of former flame Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) after learning that Grace was planning to kill her.
Grace, as viewers know, has descended lower than ever, running a child exploitation operation in the village with Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) and DI Banks (Drew Cain).
After discovering that Maxine was in cahoots with a mole and had made a report to the police, Grace resolved to have Maxine taken out, with her orders overheard by Dodger.
In horrifying scenes, Dodger shot Maxine resolving to get rid of the body and thus headed off on his own in a van.
However, a big twist beckoned as – in a remote location nearby – it was revealed that Maxine was still alive!
There’s never a dull moment in that village…
