Crests can radically change your playstyle in Hollow Knight: Silksong, completely altering your attack patterns and accessory slots to create an entirely different kind of Hornet. The Crest you have equipped determines your basic melee attack style, and each one also has a certain number of color-coded slots for your various tools.
