"Hilarious and Also Terrifying": Alan Cumming Spills the Beans on 'Romy and Michele's High School Reunion' Sequel

Two years from now will mark the 30th anniversary of Romy and Michele's High School Reunion. The 1997 comedy starred Lisa Kudrow and Mira Sorvino. A sequel has been in the works for some time. Back in January, director Tim Federle was announced as being attached to the project. Now we've got an even bigger update, including when we could expect the sequel. Alan Cumming, who played Sandy Frink, talked with PEOPLE and dished on some things to expect. “It's very exciting. It's been really fun actually talking to Robin [Schiff], the writer and Lisa [Kudrow] as well about it.”
