Answering a question asked about her future daughter-in-law, Kartik's mother said, "The family’s demand is a very good doctor." Internet thinks this is a big hint towards her confirming her son’s dating rumours with Sreeleela. For those unaware, the Kissik star is also studying to become a doctor.

Neither Kartik nor Sreeleela have confirmed or denied the relationship. However, the speculations are at an all-time high after Mala Tiwari's statement of wanting a doctor daughter-in-law. Earlier this month, Kartik and Sreeleela were also photographed having a good time at a house party, hosted by his sister Kritika. The actress was seen acing her hook step from Pushpa 2 song Kissik, while Kartik stood behind her, capturing moments from the party on his phone.

The duo is gearing up to share screen space in Anurag Basu's untitled movie. A teaser for the movie was released, where the actor was heard singing Tu Meri Zindagi Hai. While many were calling the movie Aashiqui 3, the makers have noted that the same does not fall under the Aashiqui franchise and won't have a similar name. For the movie, Kartik has been keeping a heavy beard and rugged long hair look. The movie has been slated to hit the theatres on Diwali 2025.
