Hera Pheri 3 is much in discussion these days due to Paresh Rawal's exit from the film. The actor, who was to reprise the role of Baburao in the movie, planned a sudden exit from the film. Reportedly, a promo shoot was done and the shooting of the film was supposed to begin next year. Akshay Kumar then reportedly sent a legal notice to Paresh Rawal. He is the producer of the film and he sent a legal notice seeking Rs 25 crore in damages due to his sudden exit. Now, reports claim that Paresh Rawal has returning the advance to the actor along with interest.

As per a report in entertainment news portal Bollywood Hungama, Paresh Rawal has returned Rs 11 lakh that he received as an advance for the film. He has returned the money along with 15% per annum interest. A source was quoted saying, "Paresh Rawal has returned the signing amount of Rs 11 lakhs with 15% p.a. interest and also a little more money for stepping away from the series." Further, the source also revealed about the unusual claim pertaining to payment structure. Report states that Paresh Rawal was to get Rs 15 crore in total as fees for Hera Pheri 3. But a clause stated that he would get the pending amount only after one of the film's release. "Paresh Rawal was paid Rs. 11 lakhs as a signing amount as per the term sheet. His total fees were locked at Rs. 15 crores. The term sheet mentioned that Paresh Rawal would receive the balance amount Rs. 14.89 crores only one month after the release of the film," revealed the source.

The movie was expected to release only in late 2026 or in 2027. Thus this would lead to delay in the payment of he actor. This is being said to be the reason behind Paresh Rawal's exit from the movie. Akshay Kumar is yet to make a public statement yet on the controversy.
