HBO Max’s new TV and movie release schedule for May 19-25, 2025, includes Kong: Skull Island (2017), Homicide Hunter: American Detective Season 5, Expedition Files Season 2, Silly Sundays Season 1B, and many others.

On May 20, Kong: Skull Island (2017) drops on HBO Max. The action-adventure drama follows a crew reaching Skull Island for mapping. However, things turn upside down when they are attacked by a giant ape. As such, the team tries to uncover the mystery of the island from the apes, natives, and underground monsters.

Further, Homicide Hunter: American Detective Season 5b will be released on the streaming platform. The documentary showcases the untold stories of homicide detectives in the country. Every episode narrates a powerful tale of the detectives trying to punish killers to get justice for the victims.

Also coming out on HBO Max is Expedition Files Season 2. The series showcases Josh Gates exploring the world to find pieces of evidence to uncover unexplained and unknown mysteries.
