March is going to be a great month for fans of 2010s boy bands, but it's going to be an even better month for Netflix. The streamer will take the win after being outbid by Paramount in the bidding war for Warner Bros. Not that Netflix is struggling, but it is experimenting with a new format this month by essentially live-streaming a concert. And it's not just any concert; Netflix bagged the streaming rights to arguably the year's biggest pop culture event, the long-awaited reunion of the Korean boy band BTS. The band had been on a hiatus for several years, during which each of its members served their mandatory military service. Now that they've been discharged, they're putting together a massive show for their global audience that will include new music. The concert will be followed by a documentary film about the reunion, titled BTS: The Return. However, another concert film has found a spot on the Netflix viewership charts as a lead-in to the BTS live event.
