Two new videos from HBO’s Harry Potter TV series have surfaced online, offering a closer look at the real-world production settings. The anticipated TV show is set to premiere later this year.

On X, @DominicMupdates uploaded two new clips showing a drive through the center of Latimer village in Buckinghamshire, England. According to the source, the entire village had reportedly undergone a massive 1990s makeover to recreate the era depicted in J.K. Rowling’s novels.

The video features village fete setups at multiple locations, along with classic English brick cottages on every block. It also includes a gravel pathway with abundant greenery throughout the scene, creating a retro atmosphere.

Another video recently surfaced online showing similar set details for the Harry Potter series. According to Wizarding World Direct on X, “They are apparently filming HBO’s Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets at two locations in Latimer. Locals say they have set up ‘some fairground stalls’ in the center of Latimer village.”

HBO’s upcoming series is currently filming its second season, an adaptation of Rowling’s second book in the franchise, The Chamber of Secrets. While the videos suggest that Latimer is being used as a filming location for Season 2, IMDb lists several locations for Season 1. These include the London Zoo, Regent’s Park, Wardown Park, Luton, and Lustleigh, Devon.

The first season is adapted from the first book, Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. It follows an orphan boy who is mistreated by his relatives and discovers he’s a wizard. He receives a letter inviting him to attend Hogwarts School, where he finds friendship, magic, and adventure, and eventually discovers the home and love he was always meant to have.

In the upcoming show, Dominic McLaughlin stars as Harry Potter, Arabella Stanton as Hermione Granger, and Alastair Stout as Ron Weasley. Other members of the cast include John Lithgow, Janet McTeer, Johnny Flynn, Nick Frost, and Paapa Essiedu.

HBO’s Harry Potter Season 1 is set to premiere on December 25, 2026.
