Harry Potter Star Casts a Terrifying Spell in New Vampire Carnival Horror Movie Trailer

The new trailer for Vampire Carnival features one Harry Potter star at his scariest. The movie follows a grieving young woman who finds herself in the audience of a traveling show. The show is actually backed by vampires who feed on human despair.

Harry Potter and The White Lotus alum Jason Isaacs is at his most terrifying in the latest trailer for Vampire Carnival. Isaacs, as per IMDb, will be playing the role of a vampire called Toussaint, who appears to be one of the elder undead in the traveling show.

What happens in the Vampire Carnival trailer?

The Vampire Carnival trailer sees Nell Verlaque‘s Gemma wake up from a nightmare where her mother attacks her. She is encouraged to leave the house after what is implied to be a personal tragedy. Accompanied by her friends, Gemma decides to go to a traveling show that is in town. There, Isaacs’ Toussaint hypnotizes her, showing her a personal vision that leaves her wanting more.

As Gemma and her friends witness other acts at the show, it becomes clear that something is off about the performers, who perform increasingly macabre and dangerous tricks. Gemma then finds herself invited to a party with the performers. As the night passes, it becomes evident that she and her friends are in the company of vampires. It is also evident that they wish to consume the guests. What follows is a night of terror as Gemma and her friends try to navigate the show grounds, seemingly assisted by a lone policewoman.

As per the press release, the synopsis of the movie reads, “VAMPIRE CARNIVAL follows a grieving young woman who is drawn to a mysterious traveling carnival that appears without warning in her small town. Seduced by its eerie spectacle and promises of escape, she soon discovers that the carnival is a gateway to a hidden world where vampires feed not on blood, but on human despair. As she becomes ensnared in its seductive illusions, she must confront the trauma she’s been running from or risk becoming the carnival’s next permanent attraction.”

Apart from Isaacs and Verlaque, the cast of the movie also includes Paulina Chávez (Landman), Kieron Moore, Eoin Macken, Alicia Sanz, and Cedrick Cooper.

The film is slated to release in theaters on October 7, 2026.
