Harry Potter news….

For several years, they’ve been making illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books. Basically, they’ve been reprinting the books from the series but adding tons and tons of illustrations to them. Jim Kay has been the artist who has worked on the illustrations for the books from Sorcerer’s Stone through Order of the Phoenix. However, after Order of the Phoenix was released, Jim Kay announced that he would not be working on the illustrations for the series anymore.

Today, I just found out that Levi Pinfold is the artist who is taking up the mantel for creating the illustrations for the books and is already working on Half-Blood Prince. Also, we have a tentative release date for Half-Blood Prince which will be October of 2026.

I’m so happy for this news because I’ve been planning on re-reading the Harry Potter series once I’ve collected all of the illustrated editions of the books. I haven’t even thumbed through the ones I currently have because I want to be surprised when I re-read the series.
