Who says Indiana Jones is afraid of snakes?

On Thursday, Variety published a conversation between friends and longtime collaborators Seth Rogen and Jason Segel. During the interview, Seth asked his former Freaks And Geeks co-star how he managed to snag Harrison Ford for his show, Shrinking.

Jason co-stars in the Apple TV+ series that he co-created with Brett Goldstein (of “Ted Lasso” fame) and Bill Lawrence.

He admitted to Seth that the Star Wars icon had no idea who he was, and he had to get his collaborators involved to help sway the Hollywood star to accept the role as Dr. Paul Rhoades, a senior therapist and colleague of Jason’s character.

“He read [the script], and he didn’t know anything about me,” Jason explained. “Brett Goldstein met with him, and they had a really nice meeting, and they sent him The End Of The Tour and Forgetting Sarah Marshall.”

The latter of these two movies has a very memorable scene in which Jason goes fully nude – and it seems that Harrison was impressed.

“Then, apparently, Bill Lawrence got a text [from Harrison Ford] that said, ‘I’m in. And tell the kid, great dick’,” Jason claimed.

“Even if he was out, that would be great. I would take that,” Seth joked in response, and Jason quickly changed the subject.

Although the anecdote is pretty funny, it’s hard to believe that Seth didn’t set up his buddy to brag about his junk.

Last year, Stephen Colbert asked Harrison about a headline that claimed that he had no idea who Jason was before signing on to Shrinking.

“Not true,” Harrison said, explaining he’d watched Forgetting Sarah Marshall before agreeing to do the show. “And the producer asked me what I thought [of the movie] and I said, ‘Nice penis’.”
