Happy Gilmore 2: What Role is WWE’s Becky Lynch Playing in Sequel?

WWE’s Becky Lynch, aka Rebecca Quin, is a confirmed cast member of Happy Gilmore 2. However, fans are still wondering who the wrestler will be playing in the highly anticipated Adam Sandler sequel. Besides Lynch, the upcoming film will feature cameos and appearances from many prominent sports and wrestling personalities like MJF, Keegan Bradley, Bryson DeChambeau, Rory McIlroy, Paige Spiranac, and Travis Kelce.

But, what role is Lynch playing in Happy Gilmore 2? Here’s what we know so far.

What role could Becky Lynch aka Rebecca Quin play in Happy Gilmore 2?

Becky Lynch’s role in Happy Gilmore 2 hasn’t been officially revealed. However, the wrestler is expected to be playing a supporting character in the film.

The 38-year-old would be essaying a surprise role, according to Variety. Lynch does not show up in either the official teaser trailer released in March or the New Year promo released at the tail end of last year. It’s a possibility that she could be a golfer in the movie. Earlier this year, she had shared a set video on Instagram, supporting the possibility.

PWInsider earlier reported that Lynch could be part of another golfing group, their supposed rivals in the movie.

Although Lynch hadn’t confirmed what exactly her role would be in the upcoming Adam Sandler film, she revealed that she had a good time filming for Happy Gilmore 2, calling its cast “insane.”

“The world I got to play in was ridiculous and wonderful and incredibly fun,” Lynch said. “The time on that set was amazing, seeing Adam Sandler and how he conducts himself as such a star in that world, but also so kind to everybody,” she added. (via Variety)

Lynch also praised the “atmosphere” and “tone” Sandler brought to the set. She recalled how the comedian, who is also a producer and writer on the film, would intervene and help with rewrites and direction. Moreover, Lynch also revealed she had crossed paths with MJF on set, calling him “a very nice boy.”

The movie streams on Netflix on July 25, 2025.
