Gwyneth Paltrow Reacts to Kissing Timothée Chalamet

Iron Man star Gwyneth Paltrow has come out to share her experience while filming intimate scenes with Timothée Chalamet on the sets of Marty Supreme. Having previously noted that the upcoming sports drama would contain a lot of steamy sequences featuring Chalamet and herself, Paltrow has now relayed how it was to enact such scenes with the Dune star.

During Paltrow’s recent appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show, co-host Ross Mathews questioned the actress if she ever had “kind of fun” while filming sensual scenes with a co-star. In response, the 52-year-old thespian admitted that the task can get “weird” at times, stating, “It’s like you’re making out with someone that you don’t… You’re not in a relationship with them. There’s no romance. It’s like, very mechanical,” as per People.

Paltrow also added, “It’s like a choreography but involving tongues.” Drew Barrymore also corroborated her guest’s sentiments, noting that shooting such sequences is sometimes equivalent to getting intimate with a “colleague.” Gwyneth Paltrow then went on to reflect on her time with Timothée Chalamet while filming the Josh Safdie-helmed Marty Supreme.

After Drew Barrymore highlighted a still from the movie that saw Paltrow and Chalamet share a kiss, the Shakespeare in Love actor couldn’t help but shower praise on the professionalism of her co-star. Calling Timothée Chalamet “a wonderful young man,” Gwyneth Paltrow remarked, “Really, he’s very polite, very talented, just so nice to be with. I’m really having a good time with him.”

Marty Supreme will see Chalamet portray ping-pong prodigy Marty Reisman, who started playing table tennis at the tender age of 12. Safdie has co-written the script for the film alongside Ronald Bronstein. In addition to the 29-year-old Hollywood mainstay and Paltrow, Marty Supreme also features the likes of Tyler, the Creator, Fran Drescher, Penn Jillette, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Abel Ferrara, and Sandra Bernhard.
