Billy Fletcher (Jay Kontzle) races straight to the hospital in Emmerdale soon, as son Evan falls unwell.

Beloved character Billy had his whole world destroyed a few days ago when partner Dawn Taylor (Olivia Bromley) admitted that she no longer wanted to be with him.

Dawn made this decision after having an affair with Joe Tate (Ned Porteous). She believed that Joe could offer her more than Billy, and picked him over working through the marital problems.

As it stands, Billy doesn’t know about Dawn and Joe.

It left him accusing Ross (Michael Parr) of sleeping with his wife, and feeling like he’s completely to blame for the breakdown, because he had been looking at pictures of Manpreet (Rebecca Sarker) online.

In this new video, we see the moment Dawn finds Billy at the hospital. He had taken children Evan, Clemmie and Lucas to London to see his brother Ellis but on the way back, Evan developed a temperature.

Because Evan has a weak immune system and has been in hospital many times before, a simple temperature is very serious for him.

Despite Dawn trying to comfort Billy, he can’t help but feel the problem wouldn’t have happened if he didn’t take the children to London.

Already full of guilt believing he’s the reason his marriage has ended, Billy continues to beat himself up.

He tells Dawn that he’s glad she’s with him and the two characters put aside their relationship woes temporarily, knowing Evan getting better is far more important.
