Bollywood star Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, are once again in the news. Despite the speculation, the pair was seen together celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi on Thursday. A video from their festivities is trending on social media. Footage showing Govinda and Sunita enjoying the festival has surfaced online. They are seen cheerfully welcoming Lord Ganesha into their residence. Sunita donned an elegant purple saree, while Govinda was in a red kurta-pajama. Their son, Yashvardhan Ahuja, also took part in the celebration. The couple's exchanges in the video were discreet, but their Ganesh Chaturthi celebration conveyed a sense of togetherness amid the ongoing speculation.
What is Govinda's comment about himself?
According to reports, Sunita submitted a divorce petition against Govinda in December 2024 and has been participating in the court proceedings. Amidst this, Govinda made his first media interaction and revealed his thoughts on the auspicious occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. He said, "Mujhe ye sab jo bhi mila hai meri iski bhi aukaat nahi hai, maa ka jo ashirwad raha jo mil gya. Aap mujhe kabhi kisi stree ka virodh karte hue nahi dekhenge." He further added, "Chahe aapke paas kitne hi paise kyu nah aa jaye, chahe aapko kitna bada stardom hi kyu nah mil jaye, purush ko bhagwan ne karam diya hai parantu bhagya jo hai uski devi shree hi hoti hai."

What did Govinda's manager say regarding the divorce rumors?
Govinda's manager, Shashi Sinha, said that the rumors are outdated and misleading. He told PTI that Sunita filed for divorce several months back, specifically on December 5, 2024, at the Bandra Family Court, citing reasons such as cruelty, desertion, and adultery. However, he emphasized that the issue is now being managed privately and that no new updates have been released. "This is old news that came to light six to seven months ago. Currently, everything is being resolved. In about a week, there will be more clarity."
Despite social media claims regarding Sunita's alleged separation, Govinda's team has firmly stated that there is no divorce.
