Goody Goody Photos Set Release Date for Horror Movie Like The Shining Meets Rosemary’s Baby

2026 horror thriller movie Goody Goody has announced its release date. Goody Goody, inspired by the psychological horror movies The Shining (1980) and Rosemary’s Baby (1968), has made an announcement by releasing new photos.

Directed by Raymond Creamer, the movie will premiere on Shudder on September 18, 2026. A month before the official release, it will be screened at Scary Movies XIV at Film at Lincoln Center on Friday, August 14, 2026. Following the screening, the Goody Goody director will be available for a Q&A session. The movie’s costume designer, Tatiana Valentin, will also join Creamer for the session.

The synopsis of the movie reads, “Lulled into a necessary sense of comfort during a long home birth process, expecting parents and their midwife begin to realize something may be horribly wrong. A blizzard rages outside, trapping the family in their home as increasingly sinister complications arise.”

Alongside the August 14 screening, a second screening will reportedly take place on Monday, August 17, 2026, at 9 pm at the Walter Reade Theater in New York. Before the screening, Raymond Creamer will give an introduction.

What else do we know about the Goody Goody movie?

The 80-minute horror-suspense film is produced by Harrison Rothman, Steven Schneider, and Keely Kemp. The cast features Samantha Robinson, Zoe Renee, Colby Hollman, and Colleen Foy. Robinson will play the titular role of Goody. The 34-year-old actress has previously worked on projects such as The Love Witch (2016), Sugar Daddies (2014), Cam (2018), and Hauntology (2024).

Goody Goody’s story was written and directed by Raymond Creamer himself. He developed a deep liking for ghost stories in his childhood. Creamer also has a strong interest in folklore, which has influenced his filmmaking journey. He is also proud to be from the hometown of American author and scholar of Japanese cinema Donald Richie.

Reflecting on Goody Goody, Creamer has stated, per Bloody Disgusting, “I’m obsessed with ghost stories and folklore, so I wanted this project to have a campfire tale or storybook quality to it. The cast is extraordinary, and working with Shudder has been a dream come true. I really hope horror fans get cozy and maybe light a couple candles when they give it a watch.”
