The Vegas Golden Knights will be without their captain when they take on the Seattle Kraken on Friday night.
Vegas announced that Stone is day-to-day with a lower-body injury shortly before puck drop.
Stone, 32, has 21 points — six goals and 15 assists — and a plus-nine rating in 13 games for the Golden Knights this season.
It is unclear when the 2022-23 Stanley Cup champion suffered the injury. However, Stone appeared to be in pain after scoring an empty-net goal in Vegas’ game on Wednesday against the Edmonton Oilers. Stone was on the ice for over 19 minutes in the 4-2 win.
The Golden Knights enter play Friday with a Pacific Division-best 9-3-1 record and have won two straight games.
