Even if Sony has been giving plenty of spotlights to games like The Last of Us and Horizon Zero Dawn in recent years, the God of War games are still one of PlayStation's best-selling franchises by a wide margin. While there wasn't anything indicating an exciting new update for the series at Sony's latest State of Play, the announcement we did receive feels even more disappointing than receiving nothing at all.
