It’s a good time to be a God of War fan. Not only was God of War Laufey just announced at State of Play with a tantalizing 20-minute gameplay teaser; Amazon is currently in production on a lavish, big-budget TV adaptation of the franchise. Prime Video’s God of War show is set to adapt the more recent Norse-era games, focusing on Kratos’ strained father-son relationship with Atreus, and it’s in the middle of a super-charged 14-month filming schedule encompassing two seasons back-to-back. Clearly, Amazon has a lot of faith in this thing.
