At long last, the prized goaltenders have been revealed for the NHL’s Quarter-Century Team, and it’s pretty hard to argue the star-studded list.

Martin Brodeur, Carey Price, Marc-Andre Fleury, Patrick Roy, Roberto Luongo and Henrik Lundqvist are the final six players to join the team’s ranks, voted as the six best goaltenders of the 21st century.

Perhaps the best goaltender of all time, Brodeur’s place on this list should come as no surprise. The Hall of Famer is the all-time leader in games played between the pipes (1,266), wins (691) and shutouts (125), and carries a career .912 save percentage and 2.24 goals-against average.

Past his massive contributions on the stat sheet over his 22 years in the league, the Montreal native has three Stanley Cups, four Vezina Trophies, a Calder trophy and five Jennings Trophies to his name.

Price’s spot on this list represents one of the highest peaks the league has ever seen from a player in net. His 2014-15 season was game-changing, as he finished with a league-leading 44 wins, .933 save percentage and 1.96 GAA en route to the Hart, Vezina and Jennings Trophies as well as the Ted Lindsay Award. He became the eighth goaltender to win the Hart and only the second in the 21st century.

Over his 15-year career, all of which was spent with the Montreal Canadiens, Price carried a stellar .917 save percentage and 2.51 GAA to go along with his 361 wins and 49 shutouts in 700 starts. He also backstopped Team Canada to Olympic gold in 2014, with five wins and a ridiculous 0.59 GAA and .972 save percentage.

Fleury is the most recently active player of this group, having retired from the league at the end of the 2024-25 season. The three-time Cup winner ends his storied 21-year career with one Vezina and one Jennings trophy. Over 886 starts split between the Penguins, Golden Knights, Blackhawks and Wild, the Quebecois netminder tallied a .912 save percentage and 2.60 GAA. His 575 wins are the most among goaltenders in the last 25 years.

Despite only playing 3.5 seasons in the last 25 years, Roy’s resume is hard to overlook, as even in his later years, he starred for the Avalanche and helped them to a Stanley Cup in 2001. His trophy case is the stuff of legends, as he won four Stanley Cups, three Conn Smythes and three Vezinas while carrying a lifetime .910 save percentage and 2.54 GAA in his 19 years and 1,029 games in the league.

Luongo has one of the most stacked statistical resumes over the last 25 years, as his 1,044 games and 489 wins are the second-most among goaltenders and his 77 shutouts are the second-most all-time behind only Brodeur. In 19 seasons split between the Islanders, Panthers and Canucks, the Montreal native put up a .919 save percentage and 2.52 GAA. He won two Olympic gold medals with Canada in 2010 and 2014.

The only non-Canadian on the list, King Henrik was a force between the pipes for the New York Rangers for 15 years, putting up a stellar .918 save percentage, 2.43 GAA and 459 wins over 887 career regular-season starts. Lundqvist saw his peak come in the 2011-12 season, when he finished with a .930 save percentage and 1.97 GAA en route to his first and only Vezina Trophy.
