Glen Powell’s Beloved TV Show Returns as Chad Powers Season 2 Gets Release Date, First Look

Chad Powers is back with another season of the sports comedy TV show. Disney has unveiled the release date for Chad Powers season 2 along with the first official photos.

The new pictures give fans a glimpse of Glen Powell‘s return as Chad Powers as the South Georgia Catfish prepare for another football season. All six episodes of season 2 are set to air on September 3, 2026.

Further, the first-look images show Chad and Ricky (played by Perry Mattfeld) standing at the entrance of the Catfish stadium. Their serious expressions indicate that trouble could be waiting on the field.

In the second season, Chad becomes an instant star. However, the way he acts away from football causes people to question him. The suspicions by Coach Jake Hudson and Gerry deepen as the secret of Russ Holliday becomes increasingly difficult to conceal. As the college football season progresses and the College Football Playoff draws closer, Russ and Danny have to depend on Ricky.

Who’s behind Chad Powers alongside Glen Powell?

The series features Glenn Powell playing Russ Holliday/Chad Powers, while Perry Mattfeld plays Ricky. Other featured actors include Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia Yeager, Frankie Rodriguez as Danny, and Steve Zahn as Coach Jake Hudson.

Chad Powers is based on the popular Eli’s Places segment created by ESPN and Omaha Productions. The sports comedy was co-created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron and is produced by 20th Television.

Season 2 brings back a professional and experienced production crew. Eli Manning serves as an executive producer, alongside other executive producers from Omaha Productions – Peyton Manning, Jamie Horowitz, and Ben Brown. Other ESPN executives include Burke Magnus, Brian Lockhart, and Craig Lazarus, who also serve as executive producers. Further, Glen Powell also serves as an executive producer alongside Dan Cohen at Barnstorm Productions.
