The top edge rusher of the 2025 class is officially off the board.
The New York Giants made sure of it when they selected defensive end Abdul Carter with the No. 3 pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft on Thursday.
Carter, 21, had a breakout junior season with Penn State, posting 12 sacks and two forced fumbles through 16 games. He also led the NCAA with 24 tackles for loss en route to winning Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year and earning a unanimous All-American nod.
The Nittany Lions product now joins a New York squad hoping he’ll provide that same level of production at the NFL level.
