Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, after all. But both made an indelible mark on rock music. The Beatles’ contributions have been documented – very, very well and thoroughly documented –and stand as the most influential band of all-time. The Go-Go’s, meanwhile, became the first all-female group who wrote their own songs and played their own instruments to score a number one album – Beauty and the Beat – in the U.S., a feat that remains unchallenged. There is, however, a more direct connection between the two, a piece of pop perfection from 1989 called "Leave a Light On."
