Big moves were being made in the October 31 episode of General Hospital, but there still may be time to stop one of them! Tracy’s (Jane Elliot) visit from Lucy (Lynn Herring) inspired her to make a decision, Nina (Cynthia Watros) clashed with Drew (Cameron Mathison) before offering Sonny (Maurice Benard) a way to save Michael (Rory Gibson), Sidwell (Carlo Rota) introduced Dalton (Daniel Goddard) to his new boss — Britt (Kelly Thiebaud)! — and Ronnie (Erika Slezak) was pressured to sign the Quartermaine mansion over to Drew… but a new discovery could change everything! Here’s how everything shook out.

Home Sweet Home

Wishing Tracy a good morning, Lulu insisted that she had to find someplace else to put all the moving boxes clogging up her house. Lucy stopped by and, seeing all the clutter, offered to help with an estate sale. After Lulu had to run out, an irritated Tracy resisted Lucy’s attempts to help find her a new place to live. Lucy urged her to stop dwelling on all the bad memories and focus on the good ones. She also offered to be someone with whom Tracy could share memories of the Quartermaines who had passed on, and wanted her to stop living in the grief.

Gesturing to the boxes around them, Tracy lamented that this was all that was left of the family she’d lost, but Lucy argued that the house was just a house, and the memories were a part of her. As Lucy started going through one of the boxes, Tracy was initially annoyed but soon softened and began recalling fond memories of Alan. Lucy suggested she could make new family memories in a new house, and Tracy reluctantly agreed to look at more properties, but asked for privacy right now, so she could go through the boxes and figure out what to do with everything.

Two Birds With One Stone

Drew met Nina at the Metro Court, where she voiced her upset that Willow was still stuck in prison. He informed her that he was going to tell the police that Michael shot him, and she was stunned that he remembered what happened. But when he admitted that it wasn’t true, she warned that no one would believe his memories magically returning at just the right time to save Willow. Drew declared that even if he didn’t implicate Michael, he would find some way to save Willow, and Nina wouldn’t be a part of it. She was fed up with his whole savior act, especially since he never seemed to actually come through for her daughter. “If you would have any hope of getting back into Willow’s life,” Drew hissed as he stood up to leave, “it will only happen if I get behind it, too. So, if I were you, I’d start showing me a whole lot more gratitude.”

Across the room, Michael was at a table with Sonny, who worried that Willow’s lawyer would target Michael to create reasonable doubt for her client, and Michael was dismayed to learn the attorney representing Willow was Alexis. Sonny warned that she would garner sympathy for everything Willow had gone through and point out Michael’s life of privilege and connection to his mobster father. Michael angrily brought up all the awful things Willow had done, and Sonny cautioned that if he talks with that kind of vehemence when Alexis puts him on the stand, it won’t make him look good. Just then, Drew swung by their table to gloat about Ronnie selling him the Quartermaine estate, and to say he hoped Michael would be there when he signed the papers. After he walked off, Sonny was impressed that Michael kept his cool, and Michael hoped he could maintain it when he actually witnessed the signing.

Nina stopped Sonny on the way out of the restaurant to propose a way they could save both Willow and Michael. She revealed that Portia had helped her to set Drew up with the ketamine and the escort because the congressman was blackmailing her about something. She complained that Portia had a strong motive to shoot Drew, but the cops weren’t even looking at her, and Sonny agreed that more suspects would create more doubt. “I can’t use this information myself because Portia and I are friends,” she suggested. “But you could.”

Odd Couple

At Bobbie’s, Emma flirted with Gio a bit before confiding that she had an opportunity coming up to take down Dalton. He wanted to help run interference, but Emma preferred to go alone in case she needed to turn on the charm with the professor. She also complained that the key she’d stolen would no longer work because Dalton changed the locks. Gio urged her to be safe, and she gave him a quick kiss before heading out.

Sidwell paid a visit to Professor Dalton’s office to inform him that he’d been replaced… with Britt. “So this is the genius who’s turned my father’s work into a full-blown dumpster fire,” she snarked as she entered the room. Dalton didn’t want to work with her, but Sidwell informed him he’d be working for Britt, then urged them both to bring this project to completion. He left them to it, and Dalton claimed that his problem was with Sidwell, not her. She told him to leave her out of it, and he suggested maybe they could leave Sidwell out of it. He argued that their research could be worth a fortune, and it wasn’t fair that people like Sidwell would reap the rewards instead of them. But his pitch was interrupted by the arrival of Emma, who wondered what Britt, her dad Patrick’s one-time lover, was doing with the college professor.

A Mother’s Advice

Laura was happy when Martin stopped by her office for a chat, but her smile faded when he revealed that he was working for Drew again, and specifically collaborating with Sidwell on the Measure C vote. Martin argued that he’s not required to like his clients, and Laura understood, but asked him not to break any laws. Lulu interrupted, and while Martin was happy to see her, too, he had to dash.

After he left, Lulu told her mother about Rocco not telling her he had dinner with Britt and Obrecht, and Charlotte covering for him. She didn’t understand why her kids couldn’t be honest with her, and Laura urged her not to jump to conclusions. Lulu admitted she felt like her kids were slipping away, and Laura promised that wasn’t happening; they were just trying to figure things out while not hurting their mother. Laura suggested she set up meetings for the kids with Britt and Valentin, then go along so that there’s no possibility of secrets, and Lulu admitted she might be on to something. “Do you ever get tired of being right?” she smiled. Later, Sidwell found Laura alone in her office and made an unexpected proposal: “You and I are going to work together to save Port Charles.”

Love It When a Plan Comes Together

Ronnie entered Bobbie’s and was stunned to see Jack, thinking he was Joey, someone she used to know (a wink for One Life to Live fans, as the characters’ portrayers, Erika Slezak and Chris McKenna, played mother and son on that show). Jack introduced himself, and when Carly interrupted and was introduced to Ronnie, she groused that Michael had told her all about her and how she’d kicked the Qs out of the house. Ronnie insisted it wasn’t personal, but Carly didn’t understand why she was selling to Drew instead of Michael. Ronnie just wanted to put this all behind her and tried to walk away, but Gio stopped her to ask if it was true. She admitted she got an offer she couldn’t refuse, and he begged her to reconsider. He argued that Monica had banned Drew from the estate, and he tried to bulldoze the family crypt, urging her to stop the sale. “That home, and its history, deserve better,” he insisted. “So did Monica.”

Sitting with Jack, Carly admitted she had always wanted Michael out of that house, but not like this. Jack remarked that you have to be careful what you wish for, and smiled as Carly laid it on thick about wishing for a good man and the universe sending him. When Lulu passed by, Jack informed her that Valentin wanted another meeting with Charlotte. She didn’t want to fly her daughter to Switzerland again, and Carly watched, pleased with herself, as Jack wondered if she’d feel differently if Valentin were in the U.S.

The Moment of Truth

Michael was looking up the stairs when Ronnie returned to the mansion, and he explained he was just there to get a few things and say goodbye to the house. He then offered to pay more for it than Drew, and when she refused, he knew there was something more going on here. He impressed upon her that this would not be what Monica wanted, and Ronnie broke down in tears. She admitted that there was something else going on, but she was in too deep. He promised he could help her, but before she could say anything, Drew arrived with Martin in tow.

Naturally, Drew began gloating to Michael, so Ronnie stepped in between them. “You got what you wanted,” she cried. “You don’t have to rub it in his face.” Martin urged everyone to take a breath and started getting the paperwork together. Michael asked Ronnie if this was really what she wanted to do, and she apologized, but insisted she had to sell to Drew. They sat down to sign the papers, and Ronnie hesitated as Drew handed her the pen. Opposite this, while Tracy was going through the boxes at Lulu’s, she was stunned to come across Monica’s will!
