Relationships were the focus of the March 11 episode of General Hospital. Tracy (Jane Elliot) gave Lulu (Alexa Havins) some sage advice about dating Nathan (Ryan Paevey), Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) tried to work out his feelings about his ex and his best friend with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), Cody (Josh Kelly) turned all his attention to Molly (Kristen Vaganos), Gio (Giovanni Mazza) helped his girlfriend Emma (Braedyn Bruener) out of a jam, and Alexis’s (Nancy Lee Grahn) questions for Sonny (Maurice Benard) caused him and Ric (Rick Hearst) to analyze their renewed sibling connection. Get all the details in the recap below.
Past Imperfect
At work, Elizabeth took a phone call from Ric, wondering if they could go on another date, then entered an exam room to find that her patient was Dante. He’d been bitten by Sonny’s dog because he hadn’t been paying attention while out on a walk and had to separate Fizz from bothering another, bigger dog. Liz was stunned when Dante shared that the reason he’d been distracted was that he’d found out Lulu and Nathan were seeing each other. Even though he and Lulu were on amicable terms and he’d been engaged to Sam, he told Liz he still felt blindsided, so he took Fizz for a walk to sort out his feelings. “Am I sad? Am I angry? Jealous? Or am I worried I might have missed out on my last chance to be with Lulu?” he wondered.
Then, Dante revealed that Lulu had told him months ago that she still loved him, but he was still grieving Sam at the time. Liz wondered if he was now ready to move on, but Dante felt he should leave the past in the past. Liz chuckled that the past had a way of sneaking up on you, especially when it came to love. They discussed how things didn’t work out for her and Lucky the last time he came through town, and Liz advised Dante that if any part of him wanted another chance with Lulu, now was the time to do something about it. As they walked back into the hallway, Dante confided that he wasn’t going to get in the way of Lulu’s happiness, then brought up another of Elizabeth’s past relationships and warned her to be careful when it came to spending time with Ric.

Boyfriend Points
After fainting at Charlie’s Pub, Molly reluctantly told Cody that she had endometriosis, and he insisted on taking her to the hospital to get checked out. Once they got to G.H., he asked her about her condition while they waited for her doctor, but when she tried to brush it off as no big deal, he stated that her telling him not to worry was making him worry more. Soon, Molly was seen by Dr. Navarro, who chastised her for not prioritizing her health by letting her prescription lapse, and Molly sighed that she didn’t want to let her condition rule her life. After running tests, Dr. Navarro suggested that because Molly’s endometriosis had progressed, it might be time to reconsider surgery. Uncomfortable, Molly cut Dr. Navarro off and promised to schedule a follow-up.
In the waiting area, Cody ran into Felicia and asked her about endometriosis and how he could help someone who has it. Once Molly returned, Cody took Felicia’s advice to be supportive and offered to take her back to his place to relax and hang out, but she wanted to go home instead.

Entering Emma’s apartment, Gio was surprised to see her playing the guitar, and she explained that she signed up for a basic guitar class as an elective so she could learn to play music like he does. Unfortunately, she added that she’d missed some classes after being out of town and was in danger of failing. Emma was then surprised to learn that, in addition to being a talented violinist, Gio could also play guitar, and he offered to teach her some basics. This, of course, led to some close moments between the couple, and after the lesson, they started making out.
Live Your Own Life
Hoping to free Deception of Sidwell, Tracy wanted Lulu to dig into their business partner, prompting Lulu to explain that it wasn’t a good idea because she was on the outs with Maxie due to her involvement with Nathan. Understanding why Lulu felt guilty, Tracy assured her former stepdaughter that didn’t make her a terrible person, but Lulu couldn’t help but wonder if the relationship with Nathan was worth losing her best friend over. Tracy advised her not to give up Nathan just to make Maxie happy, but to go after what she wanted and make no apologies. Growing emotional, Lulu stated that getting relationship advice from Tracy sounded a lot like hearing from her father, and Tracy replied that Luke would have told her to be happy, however it looked and whatever it took. Before leaving, Tracy advised Lulu to decide if she wanted to live her life for herself or for other people’s opinions — and smiled that as long as Lulu was being true to herself, she approved.

Meanwhile, at the batting cages with his dad, James noticed that Nathan seemed a little sad and asked if it was because he and Maxie weren’t going to be married anymore. Nathan promised his son that he and Maxie would always love him and each other, but the best thing for the family was for his mom to be with Spinelli. James replied that he wanted his dad to have a girlfriend, so he wouldn’t be all alone. Coach Kai then showed up for some pre-season practice with James. Later, Nathan got a phone call from Lulu, who asked him to get together later that night.
Trust Issues
Alexis ran into Sonny as they were both entering Bobbie’s, and when she realized he was there for a business meeting with Ric, she demanded to know if he was firing Diane as his attorney. Sonny explained that Diane was still handling certain areas of his legal affairs, and Ric would deal with his criminal defense, but Alexis thought that was a terrible idea because Sonny would always wonder if his brother would double-cross him. She begged them to reconsider so Molly and Kristina wouldn’t have to pick sides when the two of them inevitably devolved into a civil war, but Sonny and Ric insisted it wouldn’t come to that.
Justine then arrived to meet Alexis, and after the women headed to their table, Ric commented that his brother and Turner had seemed very professional for two people who’d straddled the ethical code of conduct by kissing. Sonny replied that he’d taken Ric’s advice and decided to keep his distance from Justine. Next, he acknowledged that Alexis had a point about their daughters and asked if Ric wanted to back out of their deal. Glancing across the dining room to Alexis, Ric declared that the time he’d spent with the cult (a.k.a. being held captive in Alexis’s basement) had shifted his priorities. In addition to wanting to do better for Molly and Elizabeth, Ric told his brother that he wanted them to have a better relationship. Vowing that he wouldn’t double-cross Sonny, Ric said he’d continue working case-by-case until Sonny trusted him again. Sonny replied that he could tell Ric was being straight with him about wanting their relationship to work because he’d placed him third after Molly and Elizabeth.
Asking for Trouble: Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) predicted things would ultimately sour between Ric (Rick Hearst, l.) and Sonny (Maurice Benard).ABC
Meanwhile, Alexis finalized a plea deal for one of her clients with Justine and was relieved that it hadn’t been more contentious. Gazing at Sonny, Justine recalled telling him that it would destroy them both if it ever got out that they slept together, then informed Alexis that everyone makes mistakes. When Alexis added that she expected the acting D.A. to take the case to trial, Justine pointed out that the client was guilty, but because there were extenuating circumstances, she didn’t want to prosecute solely for the victory. She does what she can to make sure the system works, Justine added. With a far-off look, Alexis sighed that sometimes the system didn’t work at all.
