The December 10 episode of General Hospital was full of drama! Curtis (Donnell Turner) was arrested, pregnant Portia (Brook Kerr) had a medical issue, a person responsible for holding Anna (Finola Hughes) hostage was revealed, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) prepared Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) for trial in a mock interrogation with disastrous results, and Michael (Rory Gibson) requested help from Kristina (Kate Mansi) in tackling a sensitive subject. This is how it all went down…
Sibling Support
Michael asked Kristina to help him explain to Wiley that Willow married Drew, since he didn’t know how to share the news without letting his son know how furious he was about it. When Kristina asked what his plan was after telling Wiley, Michael declared that he wouldn’t allow the kids to be in the same house as Drew and hoped that Willow’s marriage disqualified her as a mother in the eyes of the judge. Advising her brother not to let his anger for Willow show to the kids, especially since they’d been caught between arguing parents themselves when they were younger, she suggested he simply tell Wiley the truth about Willow marrying Drew. Then, when Wiley asked when he could next see his mother, Michael should say he wasn’t sure because that decision was up to a judge. Kristina also told Michael that he can’t pass any judgment on Willow and what she’s done, but needed to be there for Wiley and reassure his son that he’s not going anywhere.
Breaking News: Michael (Rory Gibson, l.) had Kristina (Kate Mansi) for backup when he told Wiley (Viron Weaver) about his mom’s wedding.ABC
Later, after Michael informed Wiley about his mom’s change in marital status, the little boy’s first question was if his mother looked pretty. Forcing a smile, Kristina shared that Scout had been there and said that Willow looked beautiful, and Wiley wondered why he and Amelia hadn’t been included. Michael reminded Wiley that he couldn’t see his mom until the judge said so, and Wiley cried that he didn’t want to live at Drew’s house. Promising his son that the Quartermaine house was his home and he wouldn’t have to leave, Michael hugged Wiley and shot a pointed look at his sister.
Better Safe Than Sorry
Justine was annoyed that, a week away from Willow’s trial, Dante and Nathan were bringing in a new suspect, claiming it was handing reasonable doubt to the defense on a silver platter. Dante argued that they couldn’t ignore the new evidence from the Brown Dog bartender who’d seen Curtis arrive later than he’d originally claimed. Just then, the subpoenaed footage from The Savoy’s security company came through on Nathan’s tablet, and the three of them watched the video showing Selina Wu enter the club — which contradicted Curtis’s statement that he’d been alone.
Found Footage: Justine (Nazneen Contractor), Nathan (Ryan Paevey, c.) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) discovered damning new evidence.ABC
After Dante informed Justine that Curtis and Selina had a history since the lady mobster once ran a poker ring out of The Savoy, the acting DA questioned how Curtis would have gotten Edward Quartermaine’s gun. Dante mused that Curtis might have swiped it while conducting Aurora business with Michael at the mansion, and Nathan suggested that it was possible Portia got it herself during a meeting with Monica at the house. Since the gun ultimately ended up at Willow’s room at Elizabeth’s house, Justine informed Dante and Nathan that they either had to tie Curtis to Drew’s shooting or clear him of it before Willow’s trial began so the defense couldn’t make a motion to have the case dismissed.
Panic Mode
Calling Isaiah to her office, Portia told him she needed to tell Curtis about their affair. When Isaiah questioned the timing, a panicked Portia explained that she had a motive to shoot Drew — which the defense now knew about — and if she was questioned during Willow’s trial, she’d have to share her whereabouts and reveal that they’d been together. She added that after the lengths Curtis had gone to protect her from the investigation, she owed it to him to tell him. Isaiah countered that she didn’t owe her estranged husband anything, and she’d only be provoking Curtis by jumping ahead since she hadn’t even been called as a witness. But if it came down to it, Isaiah said, Portia should divulge that they’d been together, and he’d deal with the potential fallout to his career.
To Tell the Truth: Portia (Brook Kerr) told Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) it was time to reveal one of her secrets.ABC
From Bad To Worse
Barging into Curtis’s office, Nina announced that she needed to talk to him about Portia and the baby, and he was surprised that Nina even knew Portia was expecting. Nina then explained how Alexis’s strategy was to show that other potential suspects may have shot Drew, and she’d fed Portia’s name to someone who told Alexis. Furious with his friend for stabbing both him and Portia in the back, Curtis condemned Nina for protecting her daughter at the expense of his unborn baby. “By trying to keep Willow out of prison, you may have just ensured that my child will be born in one,” he fumed. Contending that Alexis may not have even done anything with the information, Nina questioned if Curtis believed that Portia may have done it — and let Willow take the fall. Curtis argued that Willow had just as big a reason as anyone else to want Drew gone, thanks in part to Nina herself. As they continued to squabble over Nina using Portia as a defense strategy for Willow, Nathan arrived. Curtis paced behind his desk as Nathan escorted his sister out into the hallway. The detective then arrested Curtis!

Arriving at the Aurora office, Portia was surprised to see Nina standing in the hallway. She stormed into her husband’s office just as Nathan was finishing reading Curtis his rights. As Nathan walked him out, Curtis instructed Portia to call his lawyer.
Proof Of Deceit
While waiting for Nathan to return to the PCPD with Curtis, Dante and Justine reviewed photos of Ashford and Selina from the security footage, and Dante suggested that, as a former cop, Curtis was too smart to incriminate himself. When Nathan brought a handcuffed Curtis into the interrogation room, Justine informed him that they needed him to fill in some serious gaps from his statement about the night Congressman Cain was shot. When he refused to speak until his attorney was present, Turner presented a photo of Selina at The Savoy shortly before Drew’s shooting. She added that they could wait for his lawyer, but the police would need to know what he’d discussed with Selina Wu that night.
Out in the squad room, Dante thanked Nathan for his insight on the case and confided that he wouldn’t be happy if Curtis turned out to be the shooter, but they had to be certain before they moved forward. Justine then exited the interrogation room with Curtis and an officer, and instructed that Mr. Ashford be booked on obstruction of justice and making a false statement.
Honesty Policy: Justine wanted Curtis to finally tell them the truth.ABC
Back at the hospital, an angry Portia slammed her phone down on her desk as Isaiah entered her office. He assumed she’d told Curtis about their affair, but she replied that she hadn’t had the chance because her husband was arrested. She wasn’t sure what the charges were, Portia added, but Nina was there, and it had to be related to Drew. When she wailed that it was all her fault because she’d gotten blackmailed by Drew in the first place, Isaiah asked what Drew had on her. Sniffling that all she’d been trying to do was protect her daughter, Portia clutched her belly in pain and fell to the floor.
Practice Makes Perfect
Ticked off that Alexis didn’t plan to have her testify, Willow insisted that it was important the jury hear from her that she didn’t shoot the man she loved. She was no longer the weak woman who fell apart after the custody hearing, she added, and she would make the jury believe her. Alexis felt that, based on past trial runs, Willow wouldn’t testify flawlessly, and the risks outweighed the benefits. When Willow reiterated that she’d gotten better, Suzanne suggested they do a practice run with her as an impartial jury. Drew doubted Suzanne could be impartial, but after Alexis assured them that her assistant had great insight into how a testimony would land, Willow declared she wanted to be questioned.
During the mock interrogation, Alexis brought up the multiple ways Drew’s advice had led to Willow losing custody of her children, demonstrating how easy it would be for the prosecution to prove that she had a motive to shoot him. As Suzanne jotted down notes, Alexis brought up Willow and Drew’s failed first attempt to marry, forcing Willow to reveal that she hadn’t gone through with it because she’d learned about Drew’s affair with her mother. When Alexis’s next question circled back to the night of the shooting, Willow revealed that finding out Drew had been shot was so terrible that she’d fainted. Fighting back tears, Willow declared that she couldn’t believe anyone would think she shot her husband because she loved him and needed him. Then, Willow flashed back to her wedding day, when she’d told Nina that she didn’t need to love Drew and would do anything to get Wiley and Amelia back.
No Good: Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn, second from r.) and Suzanne (Jen Ray, far r.) had to explain to Drew (Cameron Mathison) why Willow’s (Katelyn MacMullen) testimony would hurt her case.ABC
Impressed with Willow’s performance, Drew raved about her “perfect” statement, but Alexis proclaimed Willow couldn’t say any of that on the stand because it sounded like she was trying to manipulate the jury. Asked by Alexis for her opinion, Suzanne declared Willow guilty, explaining that the defendant had come across as defensive and reacted sharply to having potential motives to shoot Drew. When Drew angrily jumped to Willow’s defense, she instructed her husband to back down, wanting to hear what else Suzanne had to say. Suzanne opined that Willow gave too many details, as if she had to justify everything she was saying, but that her love for her children came across clearly. Willow was happy to hear that, but Alexis’s assistant noted that it was going to be her biggest liability since it was obvious she would do anything for them… including trying to kill someone.
Telling Willow that it was her decision to testify or not, Alexis added that she trusted Suzanne’s instincts and recommended her client do so as well. After all, Alexis noted, Willow already had a well-documented list of bad decisions. Then, Nina barged in and announced that no one would have to testify because the charges against Willow were about to be dropped!

Tricks And Treats
During a Deception meeting with Lucy, Brook Lynn, and Felicia (representing Maxie) at Wyndemere, Sidwell announced his plan to bring the brand back into the black by selling them his zincite and other minerals at cost. Brook Lynn was annoyed to learn that he and Lucy had previously discussed the matter and questioned why Sidwell would take such a huge hit on the port fees. By having the minerals shipped directly to Piers 55 and 56, Sidwell said he wouldn’t eat any of the cost, but Brook Lynn doubted her uncle Sonny would be that generous. She and Felicia were stunned when he revealed that he was purchasing the Corinthos piers.
Felicia questioned why Sonny would sell to the very man he’d fought Measure C against, and Jenz replied that he’d upped his offer substantially, so even Sonny Corinthos must have a price. When he next informed them that a non-negotiable stipulation was that all materials imported for Deception be under his exclusive management, so prices don’t spiral out of control, Brook Lynn refused to allow him to slap the company’s name on all his imports without their supervision — and insisted that Tracy wouldn’t be okay with it either.
Strictly Business: Sidwell (Carlo Rota) had a proposal for (from l.) Lucy (Lynn Herring), Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), and Felicia (Kristina Wagner).ABC
Pascal then entered the living room with fresh macarons, but Sidwell turned the butler away. He asked Lucy to explain to her colleagues how he was confident Deception could reach even loftier heights with the new arrangement than before Maxie’s tragic incident. As Lucy stood by his side, wringing her hands together, Sidwell professed that they had to prevent Deception from going bankrupt, and his proposal would achieve that. Having already crunched the numbers, Lucy pointed out that Brook Lynn and Tracy wouldn’t be impacted financially if Deception collapsed, and she had her real estate career to fall back on, but Maxie would suffer the most. Insisting that Sidwell’s arrangement was the only way they could save the company, Lucy begged Brook Lynn to get on board for Maxie’s sake, and Brook Lynn reluctantly agreed.
Their meeting concluded, Sidwell crossed to the desk to call Marco to begin the paperwork. Lucy informed Brook Lynn and Felicia that she was going to hang around Wyndemere a while longer and promised to call them if Deception came up in conversation. Out in the foyer, Felicia and Brook Lynn gathered their coats, and both agreed that something about the deal seemed sketchy. Brook Lynn grumbled that she wasn’t crazy about how close Lucy had gotten with Sidwell, and Felicia noted that the other woman had always had a thing for powerful men with deep pockets. As she and Brook Lynn exited the castle, Felicia looked back into the living room to see Lucy laughing with Sidwell. Meanwhile, Lucy asked Jenz for reassurance that the deal was the best way to save Deception. Reaching for her hands, Sidwell replied that he had many endeavors in the works, and Deception’s success was a vital part of it. “Just as you are vital to me,” he added, pulling her in for a kiss.

French Fried
In the room where she was being held captive, Anna flipped open a notebook to a message that read “Faith Will Get You Out,” then folded down the corner of the page so the message read “Faison You Will Get Out.” She next looked at a page with Britt and Nathan’s names written down, and flashed back to the conversation she and Dante had about Faison’s children resurfacing at the exact time that Jack Brennan needed information about the criminal from Valentin, and her fear that Faison had again faked his death. Trying to figure out where she was being held, Anna continued to walk herself through the events surrounding her abduction, recalling that at one point, she’d traveled by water.
Later, a voice came over an intercom system, instructing Anna (in French) to face the wall and put her hands behind her head. Entering the room with a plate of macarons, Pascal announced that he’d brought her a treat to enjoy since she’d been a model guest. Although her back was to him, Anna seemed to recognize the man’s voice.
Captive Audience: Anna (Finola Hughes) wasn’t allowed to come face to face with Pascal (Marc Forget).ABC
What do you think of Pascal’s involvement in Anna’s kidnapping? Do you think Curtis’s arrest will lead to the charges against Willow being dropped before her trial begins? Will the stress of her estranged husband’s legal woes cause Portia to lose the baby? Share your theories about the latest episode of GH in the comments below!
