AS SPRING is fast approaching, and the temperatures are starting to climb you may have started to spend more time pottering around in the garden.
Because of this, you may have started to notice that your patio is in need of a spring clean after a long winter of neglect.

Posting in the Mrs Hinch Cleaning Tips Facebook group, one person asked: “Our patio slabs are really dirty and have not been cleaned for years.
“Can anybody recommend a good cleaning solution.
“They can’t be power washed as we have no water outlet.”
The post was flooded with helpful responses to the query.
One person suggested: “We scrubbed our natural stone slabs yesterday with a mix of white vinegar, bicarbonate of soda and a squirt of wash up liquid.
“I mixed them together in a bucket applied the mixture with a rough brush and scrubbed.
“We left it on for approximately 25 to 30 minutes and hosed if off.
“They have come up really well and bright.”
White vinegar is super cheap, and can be purchased from B&M for 79p.
Is is a great natural cleaning method, but make sure to dilute it properly as it is an acid, and can be too abrasive if applied directly.
Bicarbonate of soda is another great natural cleaner and can be purchased from the supermarket for around a pound.
For the best results. mix one part bicarbonate of soda, with two parts vinegar, and then add in a squeeze of washing up liquid.

“Brush it with a sweeping brush and then leave it for around 40 minutes before rinsing it off”.
