FX has unveiled a new teaser for this Summer’s “Alien: Earth” TV series just in time for ‘Alien Day’ which celebrates the venerable franchise every April 26th (a reference to planet LV-426).
The series synopsis indicates a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth and a young woman and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.
As members of the crash recovery crew search for survivors in the wreckage, they encounter mysterious predatory life forms more terrifying than they could have ever imagined. In a fight for survival, what they choose to do with this discovery could change planet Earth as they know it.
The new teaser indicates the crashed ship contains “five different lifeforms from the darkest corners of the universe – each one a unique, deadly species”. Another clip has been released compiling the various gestational teasers released throughout the week into one very icky video.
Sydney Chandler leads the cast which also includes Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.
The series marks the first time the franchise is getting a TV series incarnation. “Alien: Earth” will arrive on FX on Hulu later this summer.
