French prosecutor says Louvre heist work of petty criminals, not organised crime
Paris prosecutor Laure Beccuau told franceinfo radio on Sunday that the audacious daytime robbery of historical jewels worth $102 million from the Louvre did not seem to be associated with "the upper echelons of organised crime", adding that the suspects appear to be locals from a low-income area north of Paris.
