Fradulent Votes Removed From World Top 100 2nd Global One Piece Character Popularity Poll

At the very start of March 2026, Shueisha launched a 2nd Global One Piece Character Popularity Poll World Top 100, and three weeks in the company confirmed some people cast an overwhelming number of fradulent votes. On March 25, 2026, the Weekly Shonen Jump Editorial Department issued a statement that stated it removed the false ballots. It also stated it might implement further measures to keep that from occurring again. 

How the 2nd Global One Piece Character Popularity Poll World Top 100 is supposed to work is people should only visit the official site once per day to vote for their favorite character. 1,567 heroes, villains, and supporting cast members from the series are present. The official statement noted that improperly cast, illegal votes inflated the amount of support shown. All of the fake votes were removed as of March 25, 2026. As a result, the current vote count worldwide as of time of writing is now 4,618,302.

While we won’t know the results until One Piece Day ’26, it is possible to see the current world standings for certain regions and countries via the official site. As of time of writing, Sanji is number one in Japan, North America, Central and South America, and Oceania, Nami is first in Europe and the Middle East, Luffy is top in Asia, and Zoro is winning in Africa. To compare, when this poll was last held in 2021, the top five in order were Luffy, Zoro, Nami, Sanji, and Trafalgar Law. 

The 2nd Global One Piece Character Popularity Poll World Top 100 voting remains open until June 11, 2026. Results will be revealed during the One Piece Day ’26 events in August 2026. Viz Media handles the manga outside Japan, the anime is on services like Crunchyroll and Netflix, the first two live action seasons are on Netflix, and a new animated adaptation called The One Piece is heading to Netflix as well.
