Fox has officially granted renewals to five of its popular shows. This includes the reality competition show The Floor, which is hosted and executive produced by Emmy nominee Rob Lowe (The West Wing). Based on the Dutch game show of the same name, the American remake is officially coming back for two more seasons. This comes after its third season had just concluded its 12-episode run nearly a month ago.

“Contestants must stand their ground on a massive, interactive LED game floor of squares, each representing a different trivia category. The first challenger, selected at random, must choose one of his or her neighboring opponents to go head-to-head in an epic quiz duel in the opponent’s category,” reads the official synopsis for The Floor. “The winner takes over the loser’s square, gaining valuable ground as they expand their territory, while the loser exits the game. The winner must then choose whether to go on the offensive to dominate more of the board or let The Floor choose a new challenger. The contestant who gains full control over The Floor takes home a life-changing grand prize.”

What Fox TV shows were renewed?

Besides The Floor, the network has also renewed another competition show in the form of Extracted, a survival series which hails from executive producer Sylvester Stallone. It features 12 untrained contestants who will must survive the extremely grueling conditions of the Canadian wilderness. The show will be returning for a second season.

“In the show, 12 untrained competitors attempt to survive extremely grueling conditions, perilous terrain, and the threat of fearsome predators in the unforgiving Canadian wilderness. Meanwhile, some miles away, their family members are locked down at a secluded headquarters watching them navigate their dangerous surroundings alone via a 24/7 live feed,” reads the logline for Extracted. “The fate of each untrained contestant in the wilderness lies in the hands of their family members back in HQ. Extracted begs the question: how far will their loved ones let them go for a chance for their family to win $250,000?”

Fox has also renewed three adult-animated shows, including Dan Harmon’s Greek Mythology-inspired sitcom Krapopolis, Jon Hamm’s detective series Grimsburg, and Universal Basic Guys from creators Adam and Craig Malamut. Krapopolis has been renewed for a third season. It features the voices of Richard Ayoade, Matt Berry, Hannah Waddingham, Pam Murphy, Eric Bauza, Keith David, Grey DeLisle, Tara Strong, Michael Urie, and more. It is created by Harmon, who is also executive producing alongside Jordan Young.

Meanwhile, Grimsburg is coming back for a third season. This comes ahead of the show’s second season finale next month on June 19. Besides Hamm, the show also features the voices of Rachel Dratch, Kevin Michael Richardson, Alan Tudyk, Rosie Perez, and more. As for Universal Basic Guys, the sitcom has received an early third season renewal ahead of its Season 2 return. The South Jersey-set show features the voices of Fred Armisen and Ally Maki.
