Forever season 2 gets an encouraging response from creator and showrunner Mara Brock Akil. Recently debuted on Netflix, with Lovie Simone and Michael Cooper Jr. in the lead roles,the eight-episode series is a reimaging of the influential 1975 novel by author Judy Blume. It tracks two Black teens, Keisha Clark (Simone) and Justin Edwards (Cooper Jr.), as they begin an epic love story and explore their identities. Set in Los Angeles in 2018, Keisha and Justin awkwardly become each other's firsts. The ending of Foreverleaves the door open for further exploration.
