Flux Pavilion and Excision Remedy Post-Valentine's Day Blues With Uplifting Collaboration, "On Forever"

Two of the most important figures in modern-day dubstep have finally made it to the studio together after a decade and a half of friendship.

A few months ago, Flux Pavilion revealed that he had completed collaborations with a long list of bass music veterans and rising stars alike. One of the names that raised eyebrows was Excision, the beloved founder of Lost Lands and Bass Canyon. Considering their prestige for well over a decade, it's quite surprising they've never worked together all this time.

All that changed today with the release of "On Forever," the debut collaboration from Flux Pavilion and Excision. With inspiriting vocals from Saint Raymond, the track is an uplifting anthem and a rare treat from the latter, who is perhaps more known for his bone-breaking originals.

Those suffering from the post-Valentine's Day blues will find "On Forever" the perfect pick-me-up. Exploring the elusive chase of one's dreams and never giving up no matter what, the track's bright lyrics are full of optimism and they pair beautifully with its vibrant wobbles and emotive bass drops.

Flux Pavilion says Excision was an significant figure in the early days of career nearly two decades ago.

"After nearly 15 years of friendship it feels like it’s probably about time we write some music together," he said in a press release. "When I first heard the vocal from Saint Raymond I knew it was destined for an anthemic banger and it was an honour to build that with Excision. It’s hard to say why it’s taken us this long to work together, Jeff was one of the first people to sign my music before it all blew up so there is real history there. I guess these things happen when they feel right, and this feels perfect."
