The Calgary Flames mounted an impressive comeback on the New Jersey Devils, scoring three unanswered goals in the third period to overcome a two-goal deficit and win 5-3 on Thursday.
Daniil Miromanov tied the game with just under five minutes remaining and Jonathan Huberdeau netted the go-ahead goal just one minute later. The victory marked Calgary’s fifth third-period comeback of the season.
Matt Coronato got the Flames on the scoreboard in the second period, while Connor Zary scored his 13th early in the third. Nazem Kadri sealed the win with an empty-netter.
Nico Hischier, Erik Haula and Paul Cotter scored for the Devils.
With the regulation win, the Flames keep themselves well in the race for the final wild-card berth in the West.
