Firefly's 14th episode was never meant to be the end, but it's the last one we ever got. Naturally, this means that many of Firefly's prominent storylines were left hanging. This all resulted from Fox's now infamous decision to cancel the sci-fi show after it aired the episodes in the wrong order and stuck them with the worst possible slot in Friday-night programming.
